About Cedar & Linen
A letter from our team
Dear reader,
If you are reading this, chances are you love the feeling of a well-loved home. Not a perfect one — but one that feels lived in, warm, and deeply personal. That is exactly the kind of space we celebrate here at Cedar & Linen.
How we started
This blog began almost by accident. A few of us — friends with very different backgrounds but a shared passion for interiors — found ourselves constantly exchanging images. A photo of a sunlit reading nook. A kitchen with open shelving and mismatched pottery. A bedroom where the linen looked so soft you could almost feel it through the screen.
At some point, we realised that what we were collecting deserved a home of its own. Not another social media account where images vanish in seconds, but a quiet, permanent space where inspiration could be revisited and savoured. Cedar & Linen was born from that simple impulse.
What we believe about home
We do not subscribe to the idea that beautiful homes require wealth or professional designers. Some of the most inspiring spaces we have ever encountered belong to people who simply paid attention — to the way light enters a room, to the textures they surround themselves with, to the objects they chose to keep and the ones they let go.
Our name reflects this philosophy. Cedar — sturdy, natural, grounding. Linen — soft, breathable, unpretentious. Together, they represent the kind of home we aspire to: one that is both strong and gentle, structured yet comfortable.
How we work
Every week, our team gathers (virtually, from different corners of the world) to share what has caught our eye. We do not follow trends. We do not chase what is popular on social media. Instead, we ask ourselves a single question: Would this image make someone stop scrolling and feel something?
If the answer is yes, it finds a place here.
Who we are
We are a small editorial collective. We have chosen not to publish individual names or photographs — not out of secrecy, but because we want the focus to remain on the spaces we share, not on us. What matters is the content, the curation, and the connection it creates with you.
What we hope you take away
Our wish is simple. We hope that as you scroll through our galleries, you find something that sparks an idea. A colour you had not considered. A layout that makes sense for your own home. A texture you want to reach out and touch.
And perhaps, above all, we hope you come away with the quiet conviction that your home — exactly as it is, or as it is becoming — is already beautiful.
Thank you for being part of this small corner of the internet.
With warmth,
The Cedar & Linen team
